Sunday Jun 28, 2020

Use this in conjunction with the FOI video series located within this channel to assist you in becoming a CFI Pro!
Feedback from the podcast with music in the background was not well received, so none of those will be published going forward. However, if one of you should change your mind, let me know and I can through some Alice Cooper on the track, but very softly in the background.

The second biggest investment of your aviation career comes with a purchase of your headset, that is of course if you decide to never buy a plane! This podcast will give you some great ideas about searching to find that perfect headset for you. Although I only mention certain headsets within this podcast I have literally worn a car trunk full of headsets and finding the right one can be quite tricky and expensive. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about headsets, or if you are looking to upgrade to another one and are unsure of the specifics or differences.

This podcast is an addition to a request that came from the airspace review. Sometimes a VFR Pilot may have clear skies, but the visibility around the airport may be low due to mist, haze, smoke, or some other restriction to visibility. You may also experience excellent visibility, but have a low ceiling that is hovering just over the terminal area of the aerodrome. Either way, if you know the area well, have at least one statute mile visibility, and can remain clear of clouds, then you can request a "Special VFR" departure with air traffic control.
